Pros: cool movie featuring 3 girls packed with a lot of action and style
Cons: silly ending; the giant worm broke through the building when everyone was dancing towards the end of the movie
Wow, this movie totally rocked my world ever since its Asian Television Premiere on Disney Channel last August 2, 2003. That time, when I was in tenth grade, I thought I was too busy for that movie, so I just relaxed on a computer game that day. Then during the summer after that school year, I waited for the days to pass until one day, which was April 19, 2004. I was eating dinner with my family that day while watching Disney Channel. And when the Wonderful World of Disney (the part of Disney Channel that plays movies) was next, I wanted to see what movie was going to show. When I saw a movie clip of a girl in a blue spandex suit springing from the ground into the air and firing herself into the giant worm who then bashed her to the ground and laughed at her, I thought it was an unexpected movie entitled Evolution: The Movie, but when I found out that it was the Groove Squad themselves, I got so hyped up that I wanted to breakdance and act cool, baby! Even my heart was dancing for joy and my self-esteem skyrocketed as I watched the show. The following days, since I liked the movie so much, I have sworn to act like a normal teenager from now on. Whenever I use the computer and log on to www.disneychannel-asia.com for the program and movie schedules, I always want to keep track of the days when the Groove Squad Cheerleaders movie will show on Disney Channel. When I found out that the movie's next airing was on May 26, 2004, I planned to eat early and dash upstairs for the movie so I can rock on with the girls and the rest of the characters. I then watched the movie from beginning to end and to tell you the truth, this movie's the bomb, dude! I really can't get enough of this hip, cool, groovy, wacky, funky, butt-kicking, booty-shaking, ground-breaking, fire-starting, chart-topping, rocking good movie! So then, aside from Chrissy's super strength, Ping's flying ability, Mac's x-ray vision and the groovy gadgets that they once received from their shop owner-friend Adrienne, I wonder if new powers like particle blasting, earthquakes, whirlwinds, sonic booms or teleportations were downloaded into them and they can use some more funky technology to beat up more weird creatures and bad guys to rock and save Bay City as well as the world! I have heard about some more of its airing dates like July 5, 2004, August 5, 2004, September 27, 2004, October 19, 2004, January 9, 2005, and March 13, 2005. On some dates mentioned, the movie showed on 7:30 pm and on some dates it showed on 11 pm. I wasn't able to watch the 11 pm shows because of course I had to sleep, and as for the 7:30 shows, I can only watch parts of the movie because I wasn't supposed to watch TV on school nights. Every time I hear of an airing day of the Groove Squad movie, several days before the day of the show, I make countdowns to the day itself. The latest airing of the movie as of now was April 22, 2005 at 11 pm. It also showed last April 6, 2005 at 7:30 pm. So last March 17, 2005, I started my countdown to the Groove Squad Cheerleaders movie saying, "Let's get funky in 20 days (the day of the movie, April 6, was 20 days away from that day)." Then as the days went by, I changed the number on the countdown to 19, then to 18, and so on until I reached 1. And on the day itself, my countdown says, "Let's get funky tonight at 7:30 pm only on the Wonderful World of Disney." When the movie shows, my countdown will say, "And now, let's go extremely groovy!" I then watch the whole movie. After the movie, I write on my countdown, "Alright, folks! That movie you just saw was so totally groovy!" I'm still looking forward to the return of the Groove Squad in the coming days. I even want to go behind the scenes and check out the inside scoop and making of the movie! I also wish a soundtrack and song favorites albums to recommend this movie were made and available! I really dedicate this movie to my cousins, my school student body and to those who love action and want to be and/or are cheerleaders. I've watched this show for 8 times and I must say this movie rocked my world and will rock yours, too! These 3 girls can really become successful in their duties as cheerleaders and superheroes! More power to you girls, and to cast, crew, staff and makers of the movie! Oh yeah! You guys rock! Thanks for allowing me to share my story on how I loved the Groove Squad Cheerleaders movie and my reaction on the show! I wish you all the best! I love your merchandise and I'm going to leave you now with a popular slogan of the girls...Bring it on, Groove Squad!!!
