A stellar collection packed with 18 songs: 14 previously recorded smashes and four new, striking originals. Perhaps the greatest voice in contemporary country music, McBride revisits popular favorites from her last four platinum albums -- from her 1994 Top Ten breakthrough "My Baby Loves Me" through to the propulsive "Love's the Only House." And in between, McBride's incomparable voice belts out a generous mix of familiar favorites, like "Independence Day," "Wild Angels," "Valentine," "Happy Girl," and "Whatever You Say." Soy un nuevo admirador de Martina McBride, soy mexicano y tengo 18 años, la escuché en los grammys con "concrete angel" y me enamoré, este disco esta genial. Además me gusta su estilo. También me gista Celine Dion y Shania Twain. Para mí las 3 son las mejores!

Hey Man this is so good although I did not see it on a computer I seen it on G/A/C ( Great Amercian Country) it was very enjoyable I watch it wial I was cleaning my grand parents house while they was washing the horses

this song and video hit the nail on the head. I have been through abuse. It hit me like a ton of bricks and I am a heavy metal fan. I bought the cd the same day just for that song and to play it to a friend of mine who has suffered satanic ritual abuse. I played it to my friend and the person cryed. and said they wanted a copy, just for that song. Ms. McBride if you are reading this THANK YOU!! you can not know what this song has done for my friend.

I became a MB fan just recently. I was flipping through the channels & her video for "Where Would You Be" was playing on CMT. I immediately fell in love with the song. In fact, I liked it so much that I went to the store that day & purched her Greatest Hits. I am a fan of all types of music (pop, rock, r&b, dance, classical, classic rock, cont. country, jazz, etc.) & I was so impressed with each song that it motivated me to buy the rest of her albums. I also saw her perform in concert on CMT & my jaw dropped hearing her sing. Her voice soars to the Heavens. I like all her songs, but "Where Would You Be" is my favorite & should have catapulted to #1 on both country & mainstream charts (as "Breathe" did for FH). Even if your not a country music fan you will love MB she is pop cont./country & compares to Faith H., LeAnn R. I am a huge MB fan now. If you don't have this CD yet, go buy it, it's amazing.

I am a music fan who enjoys many genres of music including pop/rock, R&B, dance, easy listening, classical, & contemporary country. I just recently became a M. Mcbride fan. Boy was I missing out. I was flipping through TV channels & came across her "Where Would You Be" video & immediately fell in love with the song. So much, I went right out & bought her Greatest Hits. Every song is great on this CD. "Where Would You Be" is one of my all time favorites. I get chills when I listen to it. I can't believe it hasn't crossed the pop singles chart. If more mainstream pop fans heard this song they would definitely be hooked. I now add MM to my country faves including Faith, L. Rymes, S. Twain, S. Evans, etc. WOW, this is a great CD & her voice is absolutely beatiful. If you don't have this CD - go buy it.

Martina McBride has sold out. Though this collection mostly contains he good hits, it also shows the bad side where she sold out with horrible "modern country" tracks like Loves the Only House and Blessed.

I love this album! It's the best one she even did. I love all the new songs, but my fav. is " Where would u be". I think it's so powerful. I got it the first day it comes out. It's always in my cd. player. She is the best she even better than Faith Hill or Shania Twain. Even though I like they music too, but Martina is better. I just loved " Independent Day" it tells a story. Keep up the good work Martina!!

I'll admit it--Martina McBride has grown on me. She has some of the best set of vocal cords of any country music artists out there today. This girl knows how to sing (and is wonderfully beautiful too).
I have really gotten to love her (as of this writing) new song, "Blessed," which is one of four newly-recorded tracks for this CD. This is a great song about being grateful and thankful for all the good things in life, and she delivers awesomely. The same can definitely be said about her gutsy, "When God-Fearin' Women Get the Blues."
I agree many Martina fans will have already purchased one or more of her CDs. But for those on a budget or are more interested in just the hits, this is a must-add to your collection. All the hits are there -- from her first No. 1 hit, "My Baby Loves Me" (1993), to her more recent hits like "Love's the Only House" and "I Love You" -- the songs Martina fans have come to love and cherish.

I really have to say that Martina McBride is the best kept secret in the music industry. Her music tends to mainstream soley on the country charts, but I believe she would reach a far greater audience if people just had access to her. So this is your chance to find out who this incredible vocalist is -- go get this CD. Martina's Greatest Hits has a little something for everyone (slow and sappy, spunky and fun, happy and sad...), but what no one can deny is the fact that this woman can sing her rear off. Her talent can easily be compared to Whitney or Celine so if you are tired of hearing overproduced music that overshadows dull voices then Martina McBride is your alternative. This CD is a must have for anyone who appreciates exceptional talent!

As soon as this album came out I had to have it. I have loved Martina's music ever since "My Baby Loves Me" but seeing the video for "When God Fearin' Women Get the Blues" absolutely clinched it for me. What a great song! And the other new songs on the album are excellent as well. "Concrete Angel" is probably the saddest, most beautiful song I've ever heard. "Blessed" is a great song for anyone who is happy with who they are and can see all the little reasons why it is great to be alive. And wait until you hear the power in Martina's voice as she belts out "Where Would You Be."
If you are a long time fan of Martina's (as I am), if you have ever liked any one of her songs, or even if you have never heard of Martina McBride in your life, you should get this album. Hey y'all--if you love Martina, you'll love this CD...her new songs are great, and so is she...i guess it would be better if they were live, but its nice to have all the hits on the same CD-buy it and support her!

Like the other guy said, you will already have most of her songs already if you are a fan. Evolution is like one of the top 5 albums ever made on the planet so I don'tfault Martina for not topping it. I don't think she will be about to top that ever. I like teh new songs, at least what I have heard of the other ones than WGFWGTB. I think she should have kept the same song list but released live performance versions of all of the stuff we have previously gotten studio versions of. Oh but I'm a Martinaholic so odds are I'll buy this on the release day.
