    This is a terrific collection that features Simply Red's biggest hits. All of the songs contained on this album are fabulous but some of my favorites are "Something Got Me Started", "A New Flame", "The Right Thing", "Holding Back the Years" and "Thri...ll Me". The music is stylish and the vocals are very soulful. Also includes "If You Don't Know Me By Now" and "You've Got It". Other good artists/albums to purchase are Simply Red's "Stars" album, Lisa Stansfield's "Real Love" and "Lisa Stansfield" albums, "Expos Read more Less

    Best of Simply Red: Holding Back the Years 19851997 contains all of Simply Red's biggest British and American hits, including "Holding Back the Years," "If You Don't Know Me By Now," and "Something Got Me Started." In addition to the wellknown singles, there are two new tracks added to the collection, including "Angel," a duet with the Fugees. Simply Red always worked better on singles than albums, making this singledisc compilation an excellent introduction.
