Platinum Disc's Greatest Hits of the 70's, Vol. 2 is a ten track collection of random hits of the 70's. The songs are a mix of album rock, radio hits and soft rock with a touch of new wave (Blondie) thrown in. The selection of tracks is pretty impressive with some of the biggest hits of the era like Blue Swede's "Hooked on a Feeling," Jim Croce's "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" and the Doobie Brothers' "China Grove" included. The only problem with the collection is the cheapo packaging and the brevity. Add another ten songs and this might have been an essential purchase for fans of the 70's. As it is, there isn't much reason to pick this disc up unless you are looking for the smallest sliver of what the 70's were about musically.
