journey was one of me greatest

I use to listen to this album all the time and it is oldies but then again i love oldies of all types of music.Journey is one that i always liked and still do at times :) and how its said is perfect the lyrics...couldn`t be better.

Great songs, performed well,mainy of the best songs. Only flaw is that while the album came out shortly after Trail by Fire all the music was from the Escape and Frontiers tours, nothing from the Raised on Radio tour, but what songs are here are good.

Greatest Hits Live captures Journey very well in the live arena. Very few cuts are made and you are really getting the 'live' vibe here.
This is refreshing because so many live albums today are all pasted up ala pro tools.
The band doesn't stray too much from the originals although the extended solo in 'Wheel in the Sky', is real cool to close out the show. Guitarist Neal Schon really shows that he can shred when need be. 'Escape', also comes out real well. Drummer Steve Smith does have fun changing some of his drum patterns in the songs. But overall the band stays true to the recordings, albeit with an emotionally charged state(i.e. song tempos are faster and more energetic). Perry's vocals are good, even on the odd mistake....this is a true live recording. Its nice to hear, actually:)

I love Journey. These guys are one of my favorie bands of the 80's. The song that I really love is "Send Her My Love." That song really touches me inside. Ever since the first time I heard it, I felt in love with it. If you haven't heard this album, I deeply suggest you give it a try. Honestly, You'll love these guys.

This album has such an intense selection of Journey's hits. Listening to it gave me chills. There were few musical and vocal mistakes, and for wherever there was a mistake, the captivating lyrics and the soul from the band definitely made up for it. This group possesses the heart that is needed to make music. These songs are going to last for lifetimes to come.

Greatest Hits Live was released after their comeback album Trial by Fire,but all of the songs were recorded on the Escape and Frontiers tours in 81 and 83. Greatest Hits Live is a great album and the only way besides Captured that we can hear Journey live with Steve Perry unless they dump Steve Augeri.

If you like JOURNEY and your looking for a great live CD that ROCKS! then you have to get this CD. This CD makes "CAPTURED" look like dog

If you get this CD, and all hardcore Journey fans should, pay special attention to the version of "Lovin'Touchin'Squeezin'" on this. It totally rules and is better than the one we all know and love from CAPTURED. It is the last bastion of good rock and roll since, well, 1983.
