Pro Reviews: Greatest Hits [Warner Japan]

  • All Music Guide

With their smooth harmonies, sophisticated arrangements and bright pop sound, The Association tackled the artier side of MOR in the late 1960s, hitting big with a trio of perfectly done love songs ("Cherish," "Windy," "Never My Love") that have become deserving classics. This Japanese import features a handful more than other best of collections out there, including the early single "One Too Many Mornings" (a cover of the Bob Dylan tune), and an interesting version of a Jimmy Webb song, "P.F. Sloan".
