    Pros: lots of songs, good sound

    Cons: low volume?

    this was really my introduction to the Zombies. i knew three of the songs prior to listening to this cd. while none of the songs are as good as "she's not there" (in my opinion), i like them all and they are all good. i love how &quo...t;moody" they are. there are quiet songs, depressing songs, rocking songs, etc.... a good variety. i also love the electic piano solos in the songs. i can hear elements of the Beatles, Dave Clark Five, and even Herman's Hermits, but the Zombies definitely had their own voice.     This collection, remastered for SACD, covers the Zombies' short and tasteful career, spanning their 19641967 years for Decca Records, and their single album, the classic Odessey Oracle, for Epic Records in 1968. Two versions of "She's Not There" are included here, one the socalled "stereo underdub" version that lacks the snappy drum overdub that gives the superior single version its crisp, edgy feel. There are also two mixes of "Time of the Season," the familiar version and an alternate mix that features a little more organ in the verse sections.
