Subtitled "And Other Requests," Can't Get Used to Losing You presents America's smoothest crooner (and 1962's "Personality of the Year," according to Variety Club of America) tackling some of the familiar favorites of the era, including a typically breezy "I Left My Heart in San Francisco," "What Kind of Fool Am I?," and "Falling in Love With Love." It's difficult to build a distinct entertainment personality by basing your career on reprising others' hits, and Williams had been heading down that path for some time, but unlike the usual venture from the artist of the time, this one actually included two of his own hits: the title song and "Days of Wine and Roses." Of course, there are far better ways to hear those songs than having to buy a record that also includes a version of "When You're Smiling," complete with an absurdist "yeahyeahyeah" vocal chorus.
