A guy has got to make a living right? It's impossible to blame Dion for the proliferation of greatest hits packages that come out under his name. Capitol alonethis time under their Liberty imprinthas issued this material nearly countless times. The hsame is that Dion's great hits seldom seem to go deeper than the Belmonts and early 1960s material. This set, to tis credit goes a bit deeper by issuing "Abraham, Martin, and John," Dion's gorgeous reading of Bruce Springsteen's "If I Should Fall Behind," and his amazing tome, "King of the New York Streets," and a remix odf "The Wanderer. But there's nothing here form Dion's seminal 1970s material that included Suite For Late Summer, or Sit Down Old Friend oir even his Phil Spector produced Born To Be With You. All the doo wop and early rock hits are here from "Runaround Sue," to Ruby Baby," to "Lovers Who Wander," to "Sandy," to his Columbia hit "Drip Drop," which is enough to recommend it.
