    The greatest!!

    I bought this CD back in July and I couldn't wait to listen to it. I bypassed the songs I had heard before and only listened to the songs I hadn't heard before(like their version of "Hotel California and the different versions of their hit songs). I... loved it! One of my new favorite songs of theirs that I like is <i>Hotel Calfornia</i>. I thought that their voices really worked in that song and that it was very beautiful sounding. I also liked the "Conversation w/ Wilson Phillips" part of the CD, because I had not heard it before.The other big treat was the liner notes, where Carnie and Wendy talked about each song and its meaning. I enjoyed reading them.To end, this CD was a real treat to listen to. This is a GREAT CD to get if you haven't heard their music before. Read more Less

    Wilson Phillips may have been nearly ubiquitous during the dawning years of the '90s, but they really didn't have that many big singles only four, actually: "Hold On," "You're in Love," "Impulsive," and "Release Me," plus the minor hit "The Dream Is Still Alive." That's not a lot to build this 15track retrospective on, so it's only natural that Capitol included a variety of rarities album cuts, songs contributed to tribute albums, live cuts, and, best of all, a 90second "Conversation with Wilson Phillips." Although the filler stands out, Greatest Hits is a fairly representative overview of the group's shortlived time in the sun.
