    Pros: Greatest hits

    Cons: no con

A lot of us like our rock and roll Southern Fried. M.T. does it the best. Wore out the record, then wore out the 8 track, then wore out the casset, now I'm working on the CD.
Times change but good music does not.

What I truely like about the Launchcast is that you get to build your own station and without commercials, news, etc., etc,........It gives a person some time to relax and well, just relax.

  • All Music Guide

Fusing country-rock with bits of loose-structured jazz that popped up here and there, the Marshall Tucker Band found themselves alongside bands like Little Feat and Pure Prairie League in the middle of the mid-'70s Southern rock explosion. While maybe not as prominent as other bands in their field, the addition of saxophone and flute in their music gave them an edge that was a distinguishing attribute to their music. Lead guitarist Toy Caldwell, with brother Tommy on bass, churned out some appealing jamboree-flavored rock as well some charming slow material. Only eight tracks make up this sparse hits collection, and even though it includes their two biggest singles with "Fire on the Mountain" and the beautiful "Heard It in a Love Song," it's not enough to truly represent this band's music. The album kicks off with "Can't You See," made famous by country superstar Waylon Jennings in 1976, as well as FM radio staples "24 Hours at a Time" and "Searchin' for a Rainbow." With over 13 albums... under their belt, the spirited mix of traditional country and electrified rock that exists in the Marshall Tucker Band's repertoire is impossible to appreciate within the radius of only eight songs. - Mike DeGagne, All Music Guide Read more Less
