This release brings the Dreamcast's popular role-playing adventure to the PlayStation 2. Players take on the role of the hero Ryudo, who is charged with protecting the priestess Elena as she makes a long journey across many lands to perform an important ritual. Other characters join the quest along the way, each adding their personalities and special abilities to the party.

As in the Dreamcast version of the game, battle occurs through sequential, timed intervals in which each character and enemy takes action in turn. Like Final Fantasy, Phantasy Star, and several other successful Japanese role-playing series, Grandia II shares motifs and stylistic elements with it's 1999 PlayStation predecessor, but tells an all-new tale and is not a linear continuation of the original's story line. ~ T.J.     ok the stoty line or plot of the game may be a bit simple but so what ! grandia 2 has very nice grafics and sound but the real beauty of this game is that it is so much fun to play !!It has one of the best battle and magic systems i have ever played.... Its easy to learn but challenging enough to keep your brain stimulated. This game also works very well with a 4 or 6 button game pad compatable with windows 98 or windows xp. I highly recomend using a micosoft side winder game pad with the usb plug in. Read more Less
