    free roaming game concept still rocks

    Another reviewer said this was not as good as gta3, I think the only problem here is that this game is now no longer a new concept to us all, gta3 blew us away because we had never played or seen anything like it, while there are welcome new addition...s in the game, this is basically an extension of gta3, which is exactly what a sequel should be, it just might not seem as exciting this time around because weve seen it before, but that does not mean that the game is lacking, it has more of everything we loved about gta3, more cars, more weapons, and the ability to change the characters clothing, which is very cool, not to mention that the game features the best sound track ever in game, ever. To sum up, I think Rockstar did a good job here, they are giving us gta3 again, but bigger and with more of everything we loved about last years game. Read more Less

    ok here is the scoop the controls are pretty much the same as gta3, there are 95 vehicles +1 ultimate vehicle which you must unlock in the game by getting 100 hidden packages to get,+ 3 rc vehicles (a race car, a helicopter and a red barron...cool), ...4 motorcycles and 2 mopeds,8 high performance cars 12 midsize cars,5 musclecars,4 two door compact cars,and 6 vans to name a few, also the patriot and bf injection are in the game again, if you collect all the cars to fill garage 3 at the showroom you unlock the sandking which is a 4 wheel drive suv looks like an old bronco, there is 32 weapons including two sniper rifles, there are 15 different stores to rob in the game, you can change clothes to lower your wanted level, you can do drive bys with the motorcycles including shooting forward,you can do wheelies and insane jumps on the motorcycles to, if this game is half as good as the guide makes it look we are in for one hell of a treat hope this helps you guys out.......3 more days...cant wait!!!!     I would have gave this a 29 on the hype meter but it only let me give it a max of 10. What can I say, Grand Theft Auto 3 is the best game to ever touch the history of Video Games, and truly lets you freely do what ever your heart desires, which not a... lot if any games really lets you do. But there where quiet insecurities that we eagerly wanted to explore, like traveling in buildings, and what happened to the motorcycle in the original Grand Theft Auto, and why was the plane so hard to fly, and why, oh why, couldnt you jump in that helicopter on top of the Casino. Other than that, this was the greatest game ever, and then some....From Cruising cities in over 40 cars, including boats, planes, trains, tanks, buses, 18wheeler, taxis, and on foot. You could become a police officer, a taxi driver, a fireman, or a paramedic. The limits were endless. This game changed the face of gaming. It has not yet been a year and they have another Rockstar game with the Grand Theft Auto Signia on the racks. No Way, Its way too fast, its gonna suck....I mean come on, its in the 80s......But then it hit me. This is another Grand Theft Auto game made by Rockstar and a addition to the already infamous series....First let me start by saying this...Next to Grand Theft Auto 3, the original Grand Theft Auto was the best, I own part 1, London Edition, part 2 and 3....On part 1, Vice City was my second favorite level, next to San Andreas, and I was mad neither of those were in GTA3 and Liberty City was the only one to make it. Also that they did not add in the motorcycles or Superbikes to GTA3. But they did keeps its original view as a option which I liked to use. But now, a year after GTA3 has taken us by storm and is still in high gear, Vice City has approached us....This game is going to be the mother of all GTAs, I mean not only is it in the 80s, my hay day, The story is much more detailed, with a main character who has a name this nime (Tony Versatelli) and is not about revenge, but yet money, power, and fame. The main character will now be able to enter in more than 40 buildings with missions based the and the missions themselves have been increased from 70 to a minimum of 100 and possibly going on 140 now. Compared to the 15 awesome weapons at your arsenal in GTA2. You are given a option of more than 40 weapons to tolt and use at your disposal. And the mobility is more versatile than ever, Not only do you still steal cars, you can hijack Helicopter, boats, motorcycle, mopeds, and even Golf Carts. There are more gangs and people are even roller skating now. It has gotten much raunchier than the first and will highlight a lot of 80s events and fads. And if you loved Chatterbox from GTA3, it has went from 1 hour of music to 4 hours and 30 mins of tunes you could jam while riding in stolen cars. And from the screen shots, the police are more brutal, and even fall from helicopters as well. This game is going to be the GAME TO END ALL GAMES. Well not really, but its going to be a hell of a lot of fun. If GTA3 is in you playstation now, you better make room for Vice City, cause riding next to the beach in a 1988 Banshee, shooting out the tires of a passing motorcylce, while hitting a innocent group of girls rollerskating in bikinis and a unsuspected dog, is what I call GAMING HEAVEN...Oct. 29, 2002 is going to be a day of reckoning, so mark you calendars and have a copy pre-ordered so you wont miss out. U can fly choppers, ride motorcycles, ride golf carts, drive 120 vehicles,use 40 weapons,swim,and walk in buildings.     Heres a rundown of improvements over GTA3:9 hours of music (GTA3 was 3.5 hours) - The music is licensed, 90 songs in all. 10 radio stations, including authentic period slang for the DJs and Callers including Lazlow. Very small examples of confirmed t...racks include: Youve got another thing coming by Judas Priest The Message by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five Self Control by Laura Branigan Summer Madness by Kool and the Gang I Ran by Flock of Seagulls Out of Touch by Hall and Oates Main character speaks, by voice of Ray Liotta (from the legendary movie goodfellas) Over 8000 voice overs (2000 for GTA3) Double the size (city size wise) then GTA3s city Also, there will be Interior action Multi Tiered enviorments (Casino, Discos, Hotels) -AI is dramaticlly improved -a new routing system for pedestrians including a ton of more variety and actions. -Gangs are now intelligent, and now steal cars and get into chases with police among other new actions. -New Renderware Engine with modifactions, Texture Streaming, Framerate IMPROVED. Special lighting work.-New auto-targeting system 40 weapons, (GTA3 had 15) Use of cover from objects in rooms and on street.. also pedestrians Camera is locked behind the user when in targeting mode. New targeting system to make finding and shooting enemies even easier. It will highlight targets based on priority and not on proximity. The new system also includes a new crosshair system that shows you both the exact target and the bullet spray radius. The crosshair will also change color to indicate the enemies threat level. New maneuvers like crouching will help you make use of cover. Work has been made to avoid motion sickness from the rabid camera. Missions are greatly varied Many extra side missions, including Pizza Delivery 120 Cars (50 in GTA3) Motorcycles, Jetskis, boats, helicopters are playable.More reflective surfaces on vehicles. Real time shadowing from passing scenery. Tires can blow or be shot out, effects physics.     I thought the game Vice City was one of the best games Ive ever played. I highly recommend it to everyone 15 and over with no mental problems. You should not play it if you want to blow up something.
