    A quirky wonderful CD

    Pros: Madeleine's singing Galison's harmonica great songs

    Cons: wish there was more Madeleine

    This is a strange but amazing CD- one of those you just want to play over and overr. Madeleine's singing is incredible and she seems really at home with William Galison who plays various instruments on this CD and sings a song or two. The produc...tion on this CD isn't as self concious as Dreamland and it isn't as polished as Careless love, but it has at least as much soul and passion as these. The only problem is that Madeleine only sings seven songs of the eleven, but the other four (One vocal and three instrumentalos) are also delightful. I should mention that there are two songs on this CD that are also on Careless Love (!) but thoroughly different versions that I personally prefer. Galison sings an original song called "Shoulda Known" that features Carly Simon for a little cameo. The fact that Madeleine isn't on this track and the lyrics made me wonder if therre might be a hidden story behind this song. In any case, the CD is joyful and terrific. Read more Less
