OK, so Gary Puckett's music is often called schmaltzy. A big "so what." This is great stuff--Puckett and the Union Gap's first two albums were incredibly sentimental, incredibly passionate, incredibly listernable, and, well, just incredible. Tunes li...ke "Kiss Me Goodbye," "I'm Losing You" and of course the hits were simple and sweet and have aged extremely well--I am a huge fan of new rock, and yet I always have a Puckett CD or two in my car simply because this is good, honest music and, for my money, Gary Puckett ranks right up there with Roy Orbison as the best voice the pop-rock era has ever produced. He's a true artist and uses his voice to get you right in the heart. This is wonderful stuff, and if you haven't heard these albums for awhile, truest me--it's like seeing an old friend to whom time has been most kind. Read more Less
