I first heard the Goldebriars first LP while going to school in the Twin Cities in 1965. Every apartment or home that I visited had the LP and was always playing it. I was so impressed by group's tight harmony. After school, when I had enough mon...ey to buy the LP, it was out of print. I was so thrilled to see that it was to be again released. My greatest concern was the quality of a 64-65 recording. The quality IS so good. It sounds like it was digitally recorded. I have read reviews of the group from the mid 60's. The reviews were not the best. From the first time I heard the group in the 60's and now listening to them on my car's audio system, their sound is haunting and beautiful. If you listen closely, you'll hear the early harmony of ABBA. I've never been a huge folk fan, but their sound covers all areas of intent listening. Read more Less
