We did our due diligence, and checked out the Gold Bond website before we bought. The ad stated, “Gold Bond uses solid pre-pressed foam that will last years”. After just a few days use, the 10" mattress flattened to 4" or less. I ...doubted what was inside. We carefully opened the seam it to check things out, and found it had NO solid foam at all. There are in fact layers two of foam, consisting of small pieces formed together similar to the foam used under carpet for padding, not the type indicated in their ad. The foam appeared to be more like recycled pieces and the cotton looked dirty, dusty, and used. The foam compressed using my fingers to less than 1/4". We felt cheated and taken advantage of. We did contact the company owner, who indicated that the mattress is good even if it is flattened as they used a considerable amount of cotton in the manufacture. There was NO solid foam, as promised on their website. So much for the idea of customer satisfaction. What can we do? Hopefully you will be a smart shopper and do yourself a favor, open the mattress to see what is inside for real, before you sign for the mattress. Buyer Beware!!!!!!!!! Gold Bond is trying to cut corners at our expense, they should be more conscious of the “Promised” quality. Read more Less
