L.A.based kitsch and collectibles label Crescendo brings listeners this soundtrack to the epic battle between Godzilla and Megaguirus. It's the 21st century, but that pesky lizard is still terrorizing Japan's cities, impervious to conventional weaponry. So, the brainiacs develop a gun that fires spontaneously generating black holes, with the intent to suck GZilla into the folds of time. Or whatever. Naturally, this isn't as successful in practice as it was on paper. The black hole spawns a race of enormous insectoid creatures, the queen of which is Godzilla's fellow topliner. The titans clash; Japan's insurance premiums suffer. This release includes the original Godzilla theme, as well as Michiru Ohshima's properly urgent score for Godzilla vs. Megaguirus. Highlights include "Fateful Confrontation" and "GProximity" (no relation to the GUnit). There are also two alternate ending themes, and sound effect tracks for both Godzilla (roars, footsteps, etc.) and Megaguirus (wings humming).
