Director Takao Okawara finally put the Big G in a movie where the movie could be enjoyed from start to finish. The plot KILL Godzilla, and they build a metal clone to do so in MechaGodzilla. It's refreshing to see Rodan and Baby G return to the series in significant roles. The plot, monsters and human characters move along very well, and the score by Akira Ifukube is as usual, awesome. ... -

Akira Ifukube does a great job with the music, giving Mechagodzilla a seemingly horrifying musical score, making root against MG and for Godzilla. The return of Rodan is also wonderful, and especially giving him a fire ray. The music for Babygodzilla gives him an auora of innocence and humanity. If you want a fast-paced movie with lots of action, then this movie is for you. ...
