basicaaly what this is, is an album that really tries to get to the hearts and souls of those who listen becuase here you got a variety of songs ranging from up-beat songs like Get Down and Warrior, to songs that really speak to you like One More Dance and Thug mansion. This album jumps around a little but most of the songs carry a good message, but in the long run if you look at it you notice something. What i noticed while looking through the book thingy that comes with the CD is that Nas smokes weed yet in his songs he says that you should never do that. Well i say keep and open mind. But anyways Nas is kind of a hypocrite. And i guess the one con i can see is that he sings from the back of his throat and thats kind of unpleasent at times.

Nas riegns sumpreme over Jay-z once again. What a suprise(NOT). Jay-z thinks hes better but he aint ever close. Coping Biggie's style aint gonna get appoval over me.

Nas is the best rapper that ive ever heard. His lyrics are just amazig. Its like watching an awesome movie and thinkin, wow, how the hell did he come up with that? Respect. Five stars!

This is not his best work and it has weak spots. But it really has its hot spots too. His biggest weakness as a rapper is he can't decide who he wants to be, the thug rapper, or positve MC, one minute he's positive about women, the next hes all about sex. However, many of the greatest MCs had these same problems (such as 2pac). I personally think "i can" is a great song even with the kids chanting. But for those who want to trash jay-z, think about it, Nas's "Last Real N**** Alive" was a very interesting song, which may bring some new info to the subject but isn't saying much, especially since when it actually gets to jay-z Nas tells he cant tells us anymore, thats pretty weak.

I don't understand all these people hatin on either Jigga or Nas. They are two totally different rappers. Nas is the one of the greatest MC's, but Jigga has one of the best flows ever. Nas' shit is more heartfelt, but Jigga can make you dance with a little bit of truth in there. This is a great album and I'm glad the beef between them has made them both step it up. I got this and Blueprint 2 and they are both tight as hell. Don't let these haters or biased voters affect your decision. Buy it for what it is, a classic hip hop album.

this album is way better than the blueprint2 i have both cds and they don't compare. jay-z may sell more but the quality is nowhere near what nas brings to the table. nas is one of the hottest mcs of all time. Hate that!!

nas is one of the best emcees out there! fuck all that jayz bullshit! they both good even tho i like nasir more. this finally puts nas back on top of ny hip hop. although its no illmatic or it was written its still pretty good and goes deeper than the usual gangsta/pary/weed songs. a message to kids that they can be whatever they want? u know any other emcees out there that do that?
