    This is THE most IMPORTANT album to drop from a hip-hop artist in a while. Obviously, hip-hop comes in all flavors and sizes, which is why there are so many 'opions' given as to who is best, etc. That being said, "God's Son" provides an introspecti...ve view of what Nas has been dealing with while providing ghetto 'therapy' for hip-hop headz to consume. You have to go beyond what you will dance to and listen, listen, listen to the words.The album starts with "Get Down" and shows that Nas' flow is just as sick as ever! Over a funked out beat, he tells a story of street crimes and his bravado responses. "Last Real N*gga Alive" is Nas' account of a decade of beef (from Big 2 Puff 2 WU 2 Jigga)while ending with a subtle but firm chastisement of Jigga for not understanding the game. From "Heaven" to "Dance" Nas shows that his thoughts have transended from the 'norm' to a greater appreciation of life, our surroundings, and that the time we have with our loved ones - specifically his Mother.This is truly the most mature album Nas has offered the masses. I think it will take a level of maturity to truly appreciate the messages that are written within poetic verses.     Nas is the greatest MC there is. I cant believe people even try to compare him with Gay-Z. My fault, Jay-Z, that no mustache havin taebohoe. Jay-Z fans. Have you ever seen Jay-Z rap tellin a story as good as Nas. How about in reverse like he did on r...ewind(Stillmatic). Jay-Z obsesses over Nas. Thats why, on his new wack album, "Blueprint 2: the gift and the curse" he tried to bust on Nas on a few lines. ["is it ochy wally wally or is it one mic", "when the grass is cut, the snakes will show, I gotta thank my little homie Nas for that though", "You street dreamin', all yall niggaz livin off of me. I gave you life when they was forgettin you MC'd] Those is the wackest lines I have ever heard. God's Son aka. Nas aka. Nasty Nas aka. Nas Escobar is the greatest alive. His new album , "God's Son" is going to tear Blueprint 2 apart. The only thing I like about the Blueprint 2 is that it features Beyonce Knowles. That's my baby. Um. Thats my wife. Forget J.Lo. Beyonce look good. I luv you baby. You should have won over J.Lo on the most sexiest performer award, cuz you is FINE!!!!!-Escos4realNasty

    basicaaly what this is, is an album that really tries to get to the hearts and souls of those who listen becuase here you got a variety of songs ranging from up-beat songs like Get Down and Warrior, to songs that really speak to you like One More Dan...ce and Thug mansion. This album jumps around a little but most of the songs carry a good message, but in the long run if you look at it you notice something. What i noticed while looking through the book thingy that comes with the CD is that Nas smokes weed yet in his songs he says that you should never do that. Well i say keep and open mind. But anyways Nas is kind of a hypocrite. And i guess the one con i can see is that he sings from the back of his throat and thats kind of unpleasent at times. Read more Less

    Pros: Hip-hop at its finest

    Cons: Still it is not as hot as illmatic and stillmatic,(some song are too "soft") but hot nonetheless

    Nas riegns sumpreme over Jay-z once again. What a suprise(NOT). Jay-z thinks hes better but he aint ever close. Coping Biggie's style aint gonna get appoval over me.

    i love this cd my favorite song is i can because nas is explaining that not everything in life is easy and even described how everything takes much practice my so called ''career''
    ;was to live life in drugs and gangs hearing this song... left me thinking about what i really want for myself i am 13 years old right now and i already got pregnant once but had an abortion now i am pregnant again and about to go in for another abortion but what i have to say is that this music written by nas can not only change your mind but open up a new and positive attitude and outcome nas i love you and describe life from your life and keep changin people like you did to me Read more Less
