Mizz Anita had done it again. Rapture was one thing, but Giving You The Best That I Got is simply smashing. Employing the talents of Michael Powell again, she crafted a stellar piece of work. The hauntingly sensual "Good Love" which was written by Gary Taylor (Whisper's fame)is a direct smash. The melody as well as the lyrics fits her to a tee. The title track is just as good as well. Written by Baker and Skip Scarborough ("Don't Ask My Neighbor" fame), it showcases her writing skills to be above top notch. "Priceless" is just that-priceless.
"Lead Me Into Love" is a gospel influenced song with the backing of the upcoming vocal quartet Perri(Lori, Darlene,
Sharon and Carol). These four sisters crafted the perfect backdrop on this song. "Just Because" is a tear jerker with some fierce backing vocalists. With the employ of Alex Brown, Valerie Pinkston-Mayo, Marva King, Angel Edwards, Carl Carlwell, Perri, Fred White & Roy Galloway.
If you are a huge Anita Baker fan, then cop dis.

I agree with abies below. If we were to choose an album that should be put in a time capsule or sent into space for inhabitants of distant galaxies to sample the quality of soul music, every single one of Anita Baker's albums should go in!

This is one of my favorite albums of hers, especially the title track and "You Belong To Me".

I am only seventeen years old and I think that Anita Baker is awesome. Her music is such a signifiacnt part of my life, especially my love life. I can still remeber her music being such a dominant part of my childhood. I can not fathom my childhood without having had her music be a part of it.

This is one of the best cd's I've heard ina long time it is a great cd to just sit back and put on repeat I've been personally been wanting to purchase this disc for months and now that I have it's well worth it.
