Macca is a genius, nobody got a doubt about it. But this album, is just ok. No More Lonely Nights is the only "new" great song in this album cause half of the album is just beatles songs

Give My Regards To Sir Paul

The film "Give my Regards to Broad Street" was very bad. But the soundtrack that came out of the film is worth listening to. McCartney rearranges some of his best Beatles, Wings and solo tunes and he plays them very well (the only weak point is Elean...or Rigby in contrary with the original version of the song but Eleanor's Dream is superb). The new material on this album is quite good as well (especially the hit song No More Lonely Nights). All'n'all a very good album. Read more Less

The movie is funny but the album is better.THe tunes of the Beatles like Long and Winding Road and Eleanor Rigby sounds wonderful. The masterpiece of No More Lonely Nights is one of the best songs of Mc Cartney but y prefer the version of So Bad in Pi...ce Of Peace. Read more Less

    Broad St. Review

A masterpiece soundtrack to one of the worst movies ever made. Which is unfortunate- this was one of McCartney's best albums of the 1980's, and was unjustly overlooked. Remakes of Beatles tunes (Here, There, and Everywhere, For No One, Long and Win...ding Road) are every bit as delightful as their original counterparts. Remakes of his own work (Ballroom Dancing, Sliiy Love Songs) are better than the originals, and the new material for the album perfectly complements the old. However, the long, overblown instrumental "Eleanor's Dream" is taxing, and "So Bad" was better on the "Pipes Of Peace" album. This doesn't detract from the experience, though, and the full 60 minutes of music is a pleasure to listen to. Read more Less

Hard to Find... A true gem.

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Apr 2, 2000

I remember listening to this album in High School. It was a good mix of Post Beatles McCartney with Beatles tunes mostly from Revolver. I enjoyed the discussions and voices from the movie between the songs. I had looked for it everywhere and was eve...n told by Best Buy that it was no longer made. The alternative version of No More Lonely Nights is the only real flaw which makes me give it only 4 stars. Read more Less

The work this man put into his work is increadible! Not only does it sound good, but it is fun, and the fact that he includes his wife in it is just remarkible. Two Thumbs up way way high! --Alicia--
