This is the "Girl" version of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". It was an excellent movie that any girl can relate too! I give it 5 stars with two thumbs up!

This movie is a must see for the daring. It makes you realize how easy it is to separate yourself from reality. Angelina Jolie is one of the main characters.. She is phenominal.. considering the character was a cutter and she use to be one herself. I...t's not hard to pretend to be something you once were. This movie makes you realize how easy it is to let your mind wonder into the illogical. The main character believes that physics can be defied... "What goes up, doesn't have to come down." Ya know, what if they are right.. maybe we are the crazy ones and they are the sane ones.. scary thought, huh? Naw.. Read more Less

Awesome! Angelina's Second Best!

Pros: Angelina Jolie, Whoopi Goldberg, Winona Ryder, and Brittany Murphy star in this wonderful movie!

This is the best movie that I'm proud that I own. Angelina's attitude makes the movie believable. The reason this is my second favorite is because my most favorite is GIA. Angelina plays a bi-sexual model going through the temptations of drug...s and sex. One of the best movies ever. Anyways this movie has to deal with Winona chasing a bottle of aspirin and vodka because she's got a headache. Bam! her parents think it's best to solve her problems by staying at a mental institution. Whoopi Goldberg plays as one of the nurse aids along with some other cast members like Brittany Murphy playing a laxative junky. Joanna Kern(Growing Pains) plays Winona's mother and Jared Leto plays Winona's supposed lover. Winona must tell her secrets and get things off her chest to get her self out, but to her is finding out her secrets the hardest part because of her borderline personality disorder. As she interacts with Angelina the sociopath. They found a way to try and get out, but Angelina always gets put back as she runs away. Winona gets out at the very end of the movie as she spills her sole to the great and wonderful Dr. Wick or Dr. Dyke. I must have seen this film now, about 5 times and I think it is incredible. I haven't read the book, but would love to now. Ryder and Jolie are great together, and what a great supporting cast. It's full of emotion and hard hitting drama, it is surel...y one of the best films I have seen, I am only 15, but it is so good. A definate must see, a cleverly put together film, very good. Having watched it again, last night, I now understand exactly what the Academy saw in Angelina Jolie's performance. She is absolutely bloody brilliant. I really enjoyed Girl Interrupted, b/c I think I identified with Winona Ryder's character, Susan...na. I know what it feels like to have a difficult time understanding yourself and your mind-- I think most people have experienced it at one time or another.
