Made by the frontman of the late Jane's Addiction, Perry Farrell, GIFT serves as solid evidence of what Jane's fans had already suspected - the man is just plain weird. Starring Farrell's beautiful girlfriend (at the time) Casey Niccoli and Farrell himself, the film chronicles their love story to its fictional end, when Casey dies of a heroin overdose. The film is made all the more oddly enchanting by haunting visuals and a stunning score featuring the music of Jane's Addiction and ex-Red Hot Chili Pepper guitarist, John Frusciante.
