The single "Ghosts of Princes in Towers" was simply brilliant; unfortunately, the album that bore the same name failed to live up to the promise of the single, in most cases trading punky power-pop in favor of more dirge-like hard rock -- muddy sound doesn't help matters either. Overall, the album serves as a curiosity for the Sex Pistols completist or the Ultravox fan who wants a look at Midge Ure's formative years. [In 1993, Dojo Records reissued the album on CD with three B-sides added, "Empty Words," "Here Comes the Nice," and "Only Arsenic," making the complete recorded works of the band available on one disc.]
