    A great "cocaine Lp"

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jun 4, 2005

    Pros: songs, energy, experimentation

Cons: Sting self-dubs harmonies a bit profusely

Usually, post-fame 'cocaine albums' totally suck (Oasis anyone?) But here, fusing an increasingly coke-headed band with a technically gifted new producer somehow resulted in a unique, alluring balance. Uncontainable energy meets pea-soup te...xture. Very cool. Read more Less

Good, but not as good as the first 3

A good CD, but the only real standout song is the excellent Every Little Thing She Does is Magic

The Police get better with each album.

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jul 26, 2001

This album was great to listen to, I own it on CD, and it was interesting the other tracks on this record that didnt make it onto the Singles album, or Greatest Hits album. All in all, the Police are like a fine wine, they just get better and bette...r with each album they make. Read more Less

    not great

spirits in the material world, invisible sun, and secret journey are very good, but the rest are to damn upbeat. The horn instruments are poppy and annoying.

Synchronicity is great, but this album is absolutely incredible. This is their best album.

Eclectic blend of rock, reggae, and world music. Wonderful, maybe their best album.

Way better than Synchronicity. Very diverse. No two songs sound the same. Very intelligent lyrics on most of the songs

Best side B you've never heard

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Oct 18, 1999

The first half of this disc should be pretty well known- tracks like the title song and "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" are classics, but I've actually grown to like the second half more. Unknown Sting tunes like "One World" and "Too Much Inf...ormation" are fantastic, and some of Stuart Copeland ("Darkness") and Andy Summers' ("Omegaman") songwriting can be found here. The goofy Sting/Copeland collaboration "Rehumanize Yourself" reminds me of their early work on Reggata De Blanc, before Sting started taking himself too seriously. Read more Less
