George Dunning
Distinguished Canadian animator, director George Dunning is known for his originality. One of his most famous films is the innovative, vibrantly surreal Beatle's Yellow Submarine. The Toronto native got his start with the National Film Board of Canada in 1943. In 1949, he founded his own company. In 1956, he relocated to England where he soon became recognized for his surrealistic animation. In addition to 1968's Yellow Submarine he also animated commercials, industrial films, short cartoons, and was behind the TV cartoon series The Beatles. ~... Full George Dunning Biography
