WATCH OUT FOR GARMIN
Pros: EASY TO USE
Cons: POOR QUALITY OF BLUETOOTH OUTPUT, LACKS TRAFFIC USE INSTRUCTIONS, HAS VERY POOR MAP UPDATING
Why buy this unit? I have one. It's ok, but it has been discontinued by Garmin. Only has a few phones that are listed on its bluetooth. Even when you inform them of roads or streets they have missed on their maps they still don't update a year later. Very poor map service. My daughter has a Tom Tom and it has always had all the streets I have missing. Their customer service is sub par. You can call 4 different times on the same question and get 4 different answers. Very poor. Do your homework before you buy.

I travel throughout the U.S. and would not be without the unit. I have set the settings to chime on turns and depending on location EG Houston avoid tolls. I use it as a bluetooth receiver for my cell phone. I did by the dash pad to connect it to as the suction cup for the glass does not always hold in the hot sun. I have updated the map once.

Pros: options, display, size, appearance, ease of use, detour option
Cons: keypad, battery life, updates, multiple cell phone links
overall i am very pleased with mine. it is easy to use and has many great features (i.e. bluetooth, graphics display, tools). garmin makes it easy to add options through their website. the only real problems i have encountered is that the unit is expensive to get updated (with software) and it doesn't link to multiple cell phones very well.

I purchased this unit because of the price to features comparision. And my wife just earned her real estate license. She is so directionally challenged that I knew she would need a GPS and one that was easy to use. The 660 is perfect. She has picked up on how to use it very quickly, this was a must. We've had the unit for 2 weeks with no compalints as yet. I also read a review from an airline pilot who had tried others and settled on the 660. His best remark was, 'After messing around with other brands I decided to go with the one we use in aviation - Garmin.' I found mine online for $283 new not refurbished!

I bought this unit because of the MP3 and FM transimt capability. Sure the FM transmitter works great, but the card reader SUCKS!! Seems like half of the time it will not read the card when powered up, and if it doesn't, it usually takes about 10-15 tries at removing and re-installing the card. I have tried several card thinking this was the problem with the same POOR results!

I bought this online and had problems with it in the beginning. but talked to the company and they replaced it quick and it's been working wonderfully ever since. I haven't had any problems with it. I take it with me every where. The MP3 player keeps me company on long trips. I just love it!!!!!!!

Cons: Bluetooth not compatable with all phones, Mecanical voice not as clear as previos models
I think it is way over priced at retail.Shop the internet for price. It's worth $300 not $700. I like the clear easy to see screan with great detail and imforfation. The voice could be better and an easier volume control would be nice. Over all though I am happy with my purchase.
