Great PDA. I have owned this for about 2 weeks now and can't get enought of it. All the features you need if you travel a lot. One must read the manual to fully understand how everything operates. After that, it is relatively simple to navigate through the screens. The GPS system is great and comapres to my sister-in-laws $2K system in her car. And it only cost about a third of what she paid for it. Definetly not just a PDA, but a gadget as well. Mp3 player works nicely as well. Pricey, but well worth it. Great job GARMIN! ...

I have used my iQue 3600 for approximately 7 months now and it has NEVER failed me or left me lost when travelling to an unfamiliar destination. Its ability to correct my errors are incredible. It is such a great unit that I purchased a second Garmin unit of a different model for use hiking, etc. where the

Cons: unit breaks very easily-right out of the box
great features for a pda, but it is incredibly delicate and will break almost immediately.
the charging cradle breaks on the first or second use.
The auto nav charging cradle breaks on the second use.
Garmin has incredible support thou, and mailed me replacements-both of which don't work-new out of the box.
Do buy the 512-1gig sd card, it has NO MEMORY for anything other than your immediate location. Unfortuntely, when you do add the larger capapcity card, it takes the garmin unit a very long time to display the maps for it.
It does work well thou. If you have a few minutes to wait for your maps and routing, it is a very neat toy!

I love this unit's accuracy and flexibility. I carry it everywhere I go. With a car mount adaptor, it is really a great helper for a guy like me who travels a lot.
Ther are a few down sides: very short battery life (1.5 hour new, I don't know it now, less than a week with power off). What's made it worth is that the address book is in RAM. So if battery goes out, you lose your address book and all road marks. You have to resync if you have backed up your address book.
It somehow does not work well in California and Chicago, even if it is wide open. I am not sure polution plays a role here. I did not have any problem using it in New England area.
It does not work well in metro area. Buildings shield its signal and you have to to an open land to get signal.
Overall, I like this unit very much and hope Garmin can fix the problems.Was this review helpful? Yes - No
