Gangs of New York
Pros: Great story!
Cons: Long Movie, It doesn't feel like it.
It's based on fact. I don't know if the lead characters were actual people or created to tell the story. It was amazing. On one hand hard to believe that people could be that brutal and on the other hand it was almost unavoidable violence. You understand why they made the choices they made. It's a perspective never before seen. Good movie!

this move is like a gum first the good taste then no tase, like this movie . What i recomend is to watch the beginning then shut it down.

You may think the violence and corruption are over the top, but doing some historical sleuthing leads you to the conclusion that it's on target. Another Scorsese examination of the darkness that lies within the American heart. A promise of freedom and riches tempered by the intolerance and greed of those who got here "first." Beautiful cinematography and sets.

Daniel Day Lewis puts in the performance of a lifetime. He absolutely steals the show.
Leonardo is acceptable as is Michele Pfiffer. Epic. Don't listen to the critics that claim the story behind the making of the movie is more interesting than the finished product. Great sets, beautiful cinimatography, excent sound editing. Buy it, you'll watch it over and over. Keep Chicago, Gangs is the best of 2002.Was this review helpful? Yes - NoLong but worth it!

Overall it was a great movie.There is alot of action in this movie.Leonardo DeCaprioplays a very big part in this movie.He plays one of the best parts I've ever seen an actor or actress play.

Gangs from New Jork is a fantastic romp. This bituminous retelling of one young Cocker Spaniels journey to Greenlands annual Walk for Gingivitis Prevention is truly timeless. Watch for a vibrant, if brief, performance by Emilio Estevez as a cancerous cyst.
