    A movie's goal is to make you think: `Oh myGod this is so totally real.' This moviemakes you think: `Oh my God this is so totallydumb... hey... he's not going to do that ishe? DON'T DO IT! Oh I can't believe he didit, haw, haw!' It's tricky: it has ...absolutelyno pretenses to be realistic, so you give thatup right away---it's just so hopeless---andonce you're in that mood, it amuses you tothe point you forget you were not supposed tobelieve any of it.Totally predictable and totally funny.     This movie was just brilliant from the first minute to the end. I have watched this film at least 20 times and although the story isn't very believable, I think that this movie is a very good combination of scifi and comedy.

    Comic Star Trek!

    This was a really funny movie, but at times sort of copied Star Trek or Star Wars.
    I liked that at the end the commander was all serious and stuff and out smarted that bad guy. If your looking for a laugh, this is the one to see.

    I was never a big fan of the stand up routines of Tim Allen, however his Home Improvement TV Show gave me a new insight of this Multi talented man. His Santa Clause was a laugh riot with a tear. In galaxy Quest he does one better, with the great sup...port of Sigourney Weaver (Alien) and Alan Rickman (Die Hard) I was taken on a wild and crazy ride into Outer Space. Read more Less

    I too saw this movie on someone else's recommendation, and was very surprised. It is really, really funny. (I mean peeing your pants and falling out of your seat funny!!) The premise is silly, the one-liners are brilliant, and the whole thing comes ...together beautifully. Watch out for 'the expendable guy' played by Sam Rockwell (Green Mile) - he does a great job. Even if you aren't a fan of the other actors (like me), SEE THIS MOVIE!!!! You'll be glad you did. Read more Less
