Cons: Dumps water on the floor, cycle times are out of synch
I purchased this machine in 9/08 and the service man has been here twice and is due again. The machine cleans poorly and the spin cycle leaves clothes dripping wet requiring much-longer-than-normal drying times. Twice, the machine has dumped water on the florr of my laundry.
The only difference between the heavy and hand wash cycle is the amount of wash time. The agitation is the same.

Pros: quiet...when it works...which is sometimes
Cons: poorly made unreliable
Bought this new GE Profile washer 4 months ago. Spin cycle stopped working so I emptied water by hand along with a load of wet laundry. Called GE and was advised that they would not send a tech until I had gone thru a ridiculous procedure that required I put a significant amount of laundry in, start the machine and then...get this...open and shut the lid six times. After following instructions I was once again left with a tub of water and load of wet laundry. When GE so graciously allowed me to have a tech he went thru the same moronic steps and announced the motor must be replaced. In an effort to close the barn door after the cows had escaped, I did a little research on this machine and found my problem to be all too common with this model. Apparently this washer is made so poorly that drive shafts and motors are often replaced within the first 3 to 4 months and at regular intervals after that. I will continue to monitor the internet in hopes of getting in on the inevitable class action lawsuit against GE.

Cons: DIDN'T LAST 3 WEEKS
I HAVE HAD THIS WASHER WPRE6150H1WT FOR 3 WEEKS AND AM RETURNING IT TO THE STORE IT STARTED LEAKING WATER OUT FROM UNDER THE TUB IT IS NOT THE HOSES ANYWHERE IT IS COMING FROM THE TUB SOMEWHERE. HIGHLY DISGUSTED IT DIDN'T EVEN LAST 3 WEEKS.

Cons: wont clean moderately soiled clothes
Terrible Awful etc..DO NOT BUY this product.I already had two warranty service repairs to this washer.Both were corrected,but c'mon,It's only 1 yr old as of 10/2008.Moderately soiled clothes wont come clean due to the new hydro tecnology.Clothes are "dragged" not agitated.The spin cycle wont engage properly,leaving your clothes soaked.This is the honest truth people.Please consider another product till G.E can can get back to the basics,of designing a better washer.
