Cons: wires on electric start burn

It is Thanksgiving and once again my GE wall oven has died. This is the 4th time in 6 years that this has happened. When I called GE after two years to complain that the wires in the electric start kept burning out, I was advised that I could purchas...e a new on at a pro-rated cost of over $500. I once aagain repaired the oven and was told by the repairman that he replaced the wires with heavy duty wires that should last. It has not been two years and once again I am cooking on my outdoor grill in the middle of winter - on a holiday. The reliability of this product is horrible. I will never buy another GE appliance again. Gas ovens should have a longer life span than 5-7 years. The wires first burned out when I used the self-cleaning, so I was advised not to use it. So I paid for self-cleaning that can't be used. GE was no help once the warranty ran out. Never again! Read more Less
