It's a Lemon

The machine picks up normally, but doesn't record the incoming messages. I can stand right next to it, and using my cell phone, I hear the message I am leaving on the answering machine speaker, yet I hang up and the machine tells me I have no messages.
It does get points for durability, though. I threw it down the steps and the casing didn't even have a scratch ;-)Was this review helpful? Yes - NoGood Machine if you don't want to get your message

Cons: Hardly ever records my messages
This machine is terrible. I get maybe 10% of my phone messages. Unfortunately I didn't realize this when I was looking for employment. Who knows what calls I missed from potential employers. Bad, bad, bad.

It never worked well. Then it broke. Total junk!

Pros: cheap, easy to use
Cons: broke right after warranty ended
Cheap and easy to use, did the job fine for 13 and a half months. Then it just died, and would not function at all. The display showed a constant "8" in the message window and even after unplugging it and plugging it back in nothing changed. The warranty was for a year, so I was out of luck. I purchased another brand to replace it. Sometimes you can find these on sale or rebate and that is the way to go. Don't expect much or pay much.
