    "Need a little Patience"...

By Yahoo! Shopping User  May 4, 2006

    Pros: A good EP

    Cons: Could have been longer

Guns'N'Roses second release was 1/2 live track and 1/2 studio tracks. The live tracks were from their early concerts; and the studio songs feature an accoustic version of You're Crazy. The 2 standout tracks are Patience and Used To Lover ...Her. The song One In A Million is very controversial and insulting, and I didn't like it (neither did quite a lot of people). An interesting choice, but worth it for the other songs. \m/ \m/ Read more Less

A cool album of classic live GN'R and stripped down acoustics.

    good album

I loved appetite for destruction, but you have to be able to appreciate any kind of music in it's own right, like saying this album sucks because the songs don't kick you in the ass like their last album. WHO CARES? This album is good. The live sid...e is pure kick ass, and the second side is good too. I've had this album for years, and I still love it. Read more Less

    Sad desire fr money

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 4, 2001

I must admit after Appetite I was yearning for more hard edged Roses music but this was just wrong. Patience is classic but one song does not a CD make. The live stuff was pure speed metal without substance. No decent song writing displayed. Only... bottled teen agnst and yelling which can be duplicated by the smallest of garage bands. This signified the beginning of the end as the Use you Illusion CD's afterward were a better quality but should have been combined into one CD. The only other useful track on Lies is You're crazy as the slower version carries more emotion and power. All in all, GNR has lost the edge, power and allure that they had when they didn't care about being commercial, when they cared more about rocking the hell out of a stadium and Axel wanted to perfom, not sing. GNR lost it's touch and this effort just proved that fact. Read more Less

ugh what is this? it's not listed as an ep so what happened here? anywayz a few live tracks and some studio acoustic stuff, Patience is one of their finest songs but the live stuff and the studio stuff falls through, I wish the cover of Mama Kin woul...dn't have been live but I give this 3 stars, probably closer to 2 though Read more Less

    A GREAT ALBUM...!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Oct 13, 2000

The Gunner's interum album between "Appetite For Destruction" and the "Use Your Illusion" albums. Perhaps not a masterpiece like the others, but a must-have for all true fans nontheless. Eight tracks total, half from their early days LP called "Live... Like A Suicide," and the other half acoustic; the best and most well known being "Patience." "Used To Love Her," "You're Crazy" (better than the faster version in my opinion), and "One In A Million" are also great songs. Read more Less

Contriversial 2nd album shows 2 sides to

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jun 27, 2000

The 1st half of the album is made up of hard-hitting live cuts including a cover of Aerosmith's "Mama Kin". The second half is mostly accoustic including the big hit "Patience". The contriversy stems mainly from the songs "Used to Love Her" and "One... in a Million". But as it states right on the cover, the songs are not meant to be taken literally; as most people at the time did. This album showed that Guns could evolve to be more than just hard rock as they proved in future albums. Read more Less
