    Don't Sleep

    Pros: The Album

    Cons: none

This album is typical X. Hard beats, masterful lyrics, and truth in expression. If you're not a X fan, grab this album. The bangin west coast beats will captivate you. I especially like the track "Thank you". It's fire on a reality ...type flow. Read more Less

    Pros: varied topics, great production

    Cons: none

This is another great album from X. The lyrics reflect a wide aray of topics, all pertinent. True West Coast Hardcore. X is a very serious rapper and is definitely a human's human. I love this, as I have everything else he has put together.

Full Circle Nothing New For Xzibit

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Oct 17, 2006

Pros: For the most part, the beats are pretty god. The guest spots from Jelly Roll, Kurupt, The game and T-Pain help the album.

Cons: This is another typical "Gangster Rap" album.

Just when fans of rap thought that the "Gangster Rap" genre died after former N.W.A. member Dr. Dre wentbehind the scenes to do production, Xzibit has brought the rap game "full circle" (pun fully intended here). On his sixth, and... newest album, Xzibit has brought the old school "Gangster Rap" sound back to the masses. Most of this album consists of songs about getting drunk and/or high, fighting with others, etc. Xzibit's breakout album and the albums following had little to none of this kind of material on it. "Full Circle" is the exact opposite. Figuring this, it is interesting to note that Xzibit returned sans his Strong Arm Steady crew. However, he did manage to bring some other big names along for the ride (E.g.T-Pain, Kurupt, Jelly Roll and The Game). For anyone that is a close listener, the album opener, "Invade My Space" starts really nicely with a piano intro played by Jelly Roll. But the beats on the song are, well.........off the beat. If one listens closely, the beat is not lined up with the music. That track is the only one that seems off. On the upside, the overall music effect on this album is well done. But this album, overall, is one that fans would do better to buy used or burn a copy. Read more Less
