One of The Best, A Classic !!!!!!!!!!!
I love this album from the beginning to end no filler material.The songs are great outstanding tracks being Send Her My Love, Seperate Ways, After The Fall,and Faitfully there are so many others but my favorite would have to be "Edge of the Blade." The song is the heaviest song on the album and Schon's axework is incredible. The rhythm section of Varoly and Smith are incredible and,Cain's keyboard work is amazing. Steve Perry's vocals are amazing as well showing that he can handle not just the ballads, but the heavier tunes as well.I would like to have seen the band go in a heavier direction in the vein of "edge of the Blade," instead of the bubble gum direction that they went with future releases. In my opinion this is the last great Perry era Journey album.

Side 1 is absolutely flawless, but side 2 is somewhat bland. So I had to take off a star for side two not have many memorible moments.

From the moving and Passionate song "Faithfully" to the AWESOME "Seperate Ways", This is a MUST HAVE!!!!!!!!!!

With 1983's Frontiers, Journey established themselves as one of the biggest rock attractions. This album is pure Journey and all the tracks are first rate. From the rocking "Seperate Ways", to the soulful "Send Her My Love", this album is full of great tunes. It also shows the bands musical talent on tracks such as "Edge of the Blade" where guitarist Neil Schon shows some very cool chops as Cain, Valery, and Smith support him very nicely. Steve Perry's vocals are stronger than ever as well. Overall, this is the best Journey album period! A must have for any one interested in what Journey is all about.

Frontiers well defines a more mature a more better side and much older journey,the album was in fact one of their two best along with "escape" the synthesizer sound was futuristic,along with the guitars and the hard beat drums. any true Journey fan will tell you that frontiers and escape are the best albums ever released by these guys.the tracks will never be forgotten.it's a must own!!!
