    silverchair has to be the best thing to happen to Australia's economy other than the 1956 and 2000 Olympic Games (Melbourne and Sydney). The band started out at 15 and 16 years of age and have, dare I say, picked up where Nirvana left off. It might... be because they actually did use a Nirvana song to help get started (Suicidal Dream). They seemed to make a quite big impression with harsh captivating songs like Israel's Son and Pure Massacre. Songs like Tomorrow and Faultline make you believe it cannot get any better. Tracks like Leave Me Out and Findaway just scream 'See; we can go Nirvana style.' It's just a stellar record, especially considering the band was just beginning it's career. If you like Alternative Rock, you will find yourself in a niche with Daniel Johns, Chris Joannou, and Ben Gillies.Don't light a cigarette when in the middle of a gasoline fight. Read more Less

    This is silverchairs best album in my oppinion it is there most hardcore album also.
    If you like hard rock get this album!
    Best songs "pure massacre" "israls son" "suicidal dream" and "madman".

    Heavy as Hell!

    Silverchair is beyond grunge to me, most of the stuff they playis hardcore. They have songs in here that make Korn's music soundlike the Backstreet boys, especially the inturmental song "Madman",that is straight up hardcore. Sorry if any Korn fans to...ok any offense! butI would rank Siverchair's music as Hard as Korn's stuff,and they blow away most of the nu-metal today, to name a few,Incubus, Rage Against the Machine, Staind, Disturbed, Powerman 5000, those are the fewthat Silverchair's music has surpass in Heaviness, there music reachesas heavy as Limp Bizkit and Korn. I love this album, my favoritesare "Tommorow" "Faultline", "Madman" "Isreal Song"and I love eveything else, this album is Heavy, fun to bang yourhead to, and I surely recommend this album to Hardcore fans, if youlike Slipknot, Korn or whoever, you'll love Silverchair.     i hope that people understand this music and enjoy the sounds. that album is so good and i can say that daniel is genius and very sensitive young frontman. "israel's son" is angry and primary, "tomorrow" will be forever the first song that made them ...stars, "cicada" is the teenage fight. and there's more than that: "greed", "suicidal dream", "madman", "pure massacre"... just listen. that's all.     I was previously aprrehensive about Silverchair, because they seemed so similar to Nirvana, and i was thinking plagiarism. While very similar to Nirvana, the songs have a distinct style of their own. While they are all pleasing to the ear, Suicidal D...ream stands out as truly emotive and powerfull in meaning.
