Following the manic exploits of a young Frogger, Frogger's Adventures: Temple of the Frog sees the diminutive amphibian embark on quest to save his swampland home, Firefly Swamp, from dying. The four sacred elements needed to keep the swamp alive have been stolen by the evil Mr. D and spread throughout the land, guarded by fearful beasts. To recover the artifacts, Frogger must make his way to the Temple of the Frog, traversing five diverse worlds as he does so. The formula remains true to the series' roots, requiring gamers to deftly guide Frogger through environments filled with obstacles, traps, and enemies that will kill the slimy protagonist with the slightest touch. Moving logs, platforms, and malevolent trolls are just some of the nasty surprises that await Frogger throughout the 15 levels.

Aiding him in his quest is a new super-jump ability that allows him to hop two spaces in any direction, instead of his usual single hop. Using the L and R triggers, players can rotate Frogger's current heading, allowing for more precise maneuvering. Each of the worlds, with names such as Goblin Caves and Sea Town, is lorded over by a boss creature who will try to stop Frogger from retrieving the sacred elements. Not all the creatures he meets on his journey will hinder his progress however, as Frogger will meet old friends such as Zippy the Turtle and Lumpy the Toad. By collecting a minimum of 50 coins strewn about the many locales, Frogger will gain access to the final level, where he can put an end to all this once and for all. Four battery save slots are provided for players to record their progress. ~ Gavin Frankle, All Game Guide

Ever since Frogger went 3D or in this case 2.5D, it hasn't been the same. The game is okay, good graphics and sound but still not sure of how FUN this game really is.

Get it used if you can. Not sure if its worth full retail.
