Cons: leaking
I bought this models precurser in 1997. I had problems with a little tiny bit of leaking from the bottom of the door. I had to call for 3 service calls to try to fix the problem and then they gave me a new one.Its been working fine. 2 yrs ago it wouldn't drain, we took the back off and found a lot of pocket change inside a wide black accordian shaped tube. I think it was the drain pump? once i cracked the door latch ,you have to slam it sometimes. I ordered a new one on line and replaced it myself. So total repairs in 10 yrs $2.75.
The moldy smell goes away when you use bleach in a few loads.All this and a rebate from the power co. ...

Pros: energy efficient
Cons: crummy pot metal hold ss tub in place, breaks. Motherboard near floor, so moisture fries it!
I spent the extra money for front load to save energy and water. I've had the "motherboard" fry twice and the crummy piece of pot metal that holds the washer tub (which is stainless steel) break twice. Why would you use pot metal in contact with the water, and attach a stainless steel tub...I don't know, stay away from this machine it's broken every year and it's not cheap- to repairt. ...
