Boston punk-pop act Frigate was formed in 1997 by siblings Linda Bean (bass) and John Bean (drums). Spawned from local rock bands Permafrost and Headcleaner, the two Beans recruited guitarists Tim Gillis and Chris Lauria (from Slapshot), and released Blow Me Down on Spinning Records.
