Synopsis: Friendship's Field (1995)

Synopis: In the summer of 1965, two 11-year-olds forge a bond of friendship that emblemizes the decade's atmosphere of racial reconciliation. Ira (Kate Maberly) is a white child avoiding responsibility on her family's farm, while Oscar (Jonathan Hernandez) is the son of a Mexican migrant worker hired by Ira's family to toil in the fields. Together Ira and Oscar strike up an unexpected friendship that transcends their cultural differences despite the racial prejudice of local townsfolk.
