    I saw this movie for the first time just a few weeks ago. I really wanted to see it when it was in theaters, but I couldn't because i never had the time to do so. The cast with Derek Luke playing star running back Boobie Miles does a great job. B...illy Bob Thornton also does a great job as the coach. The actor who plays Ivory Christian does a great job at halftime of the Dallas Carter game with the emotion and everything. I thought this was the best sports movie I have ever seen. I am a huge sports fan and I also loved "Bull Durham" and "Major League". Friday Night Lights is still the best movie I've ever seen. I think it is even better then "The Godfather" and "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" which is seen as one of the greats. Read more Less

    Pros: True jock film.

    Cons: If you didnt play football you wont like it very serious.

    Excellent cast and very close screen play to the book. A very serious movie and believe it or not those situations happen. 17 year old young men with all of the pressure that they can handle. One of the main characters Miles has a season ending in...jury and the sesonis thought to be lost but a group of Seniors band together to make a run at state. Read more Less
