i love this movie. can't tell you why, cause it's still kitsch and meg ryan is.. well.. meg ryan, but boy oh boy, kevin kline is the MAN! it's a light movie, allegedly, but if you can identify easily with broken hearted characters, you...9;ll find it extremely sensitive and sweeping, mainly because of lawrence kasdan's serious directing and kline's superb acting as a frenchman. a must see. A well acted movie where both Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline shine. Kevin Kline's ability to play a roguish but loveable French man was totallt believable. A hihgly recommended flick

Is this not THE best movie?!! I've rented it so many times. It sits on my coffee table now, due to be taken back. I've GOT to buy this!! Sometimes a girl just needs a "French Kiss" fix. Meg Ryan is fantastic in this. Great lines; great movie.

If you've never seen French Kiss, let me assure you, it's great. It's outright hilarious the first time you see it, and even more entertaining the second time. At the end of the movie you feel a sort of emotional satisfaction; after all the ups, dow...ns, and crazy escapades, there's a definite resolution. The second time you watch it, you notice the subtle wit, puns and "coincidences". This movie is a classic example of dramatic irony. The audience KNOWS that Kate and Luc are made for each other, and it's sooo amusing watching them discover that. Lastly, one thing I really love about this movie is the way it captures the peaceful setting of France. The viewer can feel the change of thought and attitude as soon as Kate crosses the ocean. Or more fittingly, as soon as Kate meets Luc. Kate abandons the safety and normalcy of her previous life in Canada, to chase love in the relaxed, sophistocated France. Initally she's a fish out of water, but at the end you witness how her character takes in her surroundings, and how she finally finds a home. If you love romantic comedy, movie is a keeper.
