    After listening to this album, I must say that Fantasia sounds nothing like an American Idol for this to be her first debut.She has done very well for herself for this to be the first album release. SHe puts me in the mind of when MAry J. Blidge firs...t came out, MAry had alot to say and you could relate to all the words on each track. I feel the same way when I listen to Fantasia's album.     Pros: The Voice

    Cons: Musically Hangs in the Generic Category

    I'm so glad that this album turned out to be decent. (Disappointed in Ruben's album. Clarkson was alright. Aiken was again alright. I won't even mention Guarini) Though the music is fairly generic R&B style, I can forgive that since it is... her first album. However if her second album remains in the "heard it all before" space I'll have an issue. However THE VOICE and the passion 'Tasia puts into her singing redeems this. Put anyone else's voice to these songs and the album would be totally forgettable. I encourage listeners to buy it. The best of the AI albums that have been produced so far. 'Tasia's the real deal.     Must have...buy one for everyone on your list as a stocking stuffer...she sings her heart out and you can feel the songs...great one...you did good Fantasia, this is the best cd by an R & B female this year...

    This CD is truly off the hook, amazing beats and lyrics and just grab at ya. She puts all she has into every song she does. I cannot turn this CD off. I had to get 2 one for the car and one for the house because i can stay away from this!

    It is about time that a new artist on her debut CD gives you something more than bling-bling, designer labels and how to play a man out of his riches. Fantasia CD gives you something you can relate to. It reminds me of the days when artist could actu...ally sing and the songs actually meant something. hopefully she will be able to surround herself with gifted songwriters that will continue to showcase her enormous power, passion, and soul of a voice. thank god for fantasia.
