    Pros: Real Circus Acts!

    Cons: Poor Poor Sound Quality

    I got in touch with this movie through my mom. She had seen it years ago and remember it, so being the good daughter that I am I bought it for her. Well, I don't think that she will get to keep it because it has moved me. Strange and eerie are t...he only ways that I can explain this movie. Banned for years in Europe is another point.     While the "Freaks" referred to in the title are ostensibly the human oddities in the film, the true freaks of Tod Browning's classic are the "normal" humans who show their bereftness of humanity and soul by their horrible trea...tment of those in the freak show. Read more Less

    Don't mess with midgets!

    This one really bites my goat. I happen to know some freaks and that whole gooble gobble thing is a buch of crap. The acceptance ceremony is a much more solemn occasion. I t does prove that midgets are dangerous (as I have always suspected) and sh...ould not be kept as pets. Read more Less

    A great movie that shows real people living a real live amongst friends and collegues that truly understand what it means to be a human being first and a body second.     Oldie but a Goodie

    Nothing slick and modern in this movie. Real freaks from the 1930's. Must have been totally disturbing in its time. Still a great one to watch on a rainy Sunday afternoon. In one scene a man with no arms and no legs (no this is not one of those dist...asteful jokes) rolls, lights and smokes a cigarette. That alone is worth the price of admission. Read more Less
