Frankie Valli, the lead singer of the Four Seasons, launched a solo career in 1965 after several years of chart-topping success, while still continuing with the group which was re-billed as "Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons." He had actually begun as a solo, releasing the 1953 single "My Mother's Eyes" under the name Frankie Valley. His debut solo single was "(You're Gonna) Hurt Yourself" at the end of 1965, but his first solo success came with the gold-selling "Can't Take My Eyes Off You"...
