    "Just Like Heaven" Is Worth The Price Al

    Fossils is a little over-priced for an EP, and You're Living All Over Me is the best place for new Dinosaur Jr. fans to start, but Fossils is still worth it, if only for the fantastic cover of the Cure's "Just Like Heaven." And I do think it pays tri...bute to the Cure and is not intended as some kind of sarcastic, cruel jab at the band. The death-metal chorus, J.'s guitar solo in place of the keyboard solo in the original, and the distortion are all genius, and Dinosaur creates one of the greatest cover songs ever. The first three tracks are fantastic, especially the essential "Little Fury Things," but you can find them all on You're Living All Over Me. "Freak Scene" is fantastic, but also on the Bug album so the only hard finds are the Just Like Heaven single and "Keep The Glove." If you don't already own the original singles, then get this, but if you already have every conceivable Dinosaur Jr. record, Fossils is not necessary. Read more Less
