    This is definately the best album I have listened to. I've been listening to Fortress since it came out last year and am still intrigued by it. Sister Hazel sounds sort of like Matchbox Twenty with a little Train and Vertical Horizon thrown in. Th...e enhanced portion has the Happy video from ...Somewhere more Familiar, wallpaper, and an interview with the band. The lyrics are very moving, and every single song doesn't sound the same. One song, Champagne High, has Emily Saliers from the Indigo Girls with background vocals. I would definately recoment this CD to anyone who likes lyrics with meaning and REAL INSTRUMENTS, not just some pre-packaged pop. This is one AWESOME CD!!!!! Read more Less

    This CD is without a doubt one of the best ones I've purchased in a long, long time. You won't be disappointed. Each song leaves me feeling... happy. I've had this one for some time and I still listen to it almost daily. Sister Hazel is great!

    fortress is incredible! each song has its own unique infectious rhythm that just makes you happy. every single song on this cd is great...ive had it over a year and i still listen to it every day. strange cup of tea and beatiful thing are wonderful s...ongs with an upbeat tempo. champagne high and out there are slower songs in which the true talent of sister hazel shines through. this band will go far. youre going to love this cd!     this is a great cd.... and after hearing this cd, you just wonder how bands like matchbox 20 and vertical horizon are som much more popular.... sister hazel is one of the most underrated bands.... BUY THIS CD!!!!

    Sister Hazel's Fortress CD is a marvelous one, and it is just 1 of 3 great CDs done by Sister Hazel! There are many great songs within this CD and is one of those CDs that you can listen to from start to end without stopping. There are 2 hit singles ...on this CD: 'Change Your Mind' and 'Champagne High', and there are upcoming hit singles as well on this CD: 'Give In' and 'Thank You'. To the movie soundtrack, '10 Things I Hate About You', Sister Hazel song 'Your Winter' is featured in this movie. So as you can see, there are lots of great songs within this CD plus there are many more that are not listed above, such as 'Beautiful Thing', 'Strange Cup Of Tea', etc., etc. It's a must buy CD along with Sister Hazel's other 2 CDs: "...Somewhere More Familiar" and their 1st CD with the little blue flower on it.     You wonder how they got a record contract? Maybe the way listeners can relate to the songs, the way the guys of Sister Hazel harmonize, their superior ability in singing/ playing guitar/ drums, or the love they have for their music and fans. Sister H...azel worked extremely hard to get a record contract and they deserve it! Of course we are all entitled to our own opinion, but in my opinion Fortress is a success that can not be topped, maybe tied though by their other cds. Read more Less

    Sister Hazel have managed to make another cd that is full of wonderful music. Great songs, and tasty musicianship....you'll find yourself singing along to every song! Buy the cd; and see them live if you can. You won't regret either experience!

    Melody, Harmony & Awesome Lyrics

    Sister Hazel has outdone themselves on their new album. It is one of those cds where you can actually listen to the whole cd instead of just 3 or 4 songs. They are one of the best groups around. And their songs actually have good lessons and meaning...s to them. If you have never listened to them-change your mind-and go get Fortress. Read more Less

    I was greatly anticipating the release of this album therefore my expectations were high. I was not disappointed. These guys do not let down... the best was their opening date on their concert tour... they are great live. My suggestion is to see the...m live... you won't be disappointed. Read more Less
